A sound mind is

Mine

....And I fight for it.

Vitamins and

Running and

Sleeping and

Bible study and

Prayer and

Music and

Good books and

Writing and

Writing and

Writing and

Hours of therapy and

A side of meds and

Crying and

Washing my face and

Friendship and

Fellowship and

Discipleship and

Scripture memory and

Long, hot showers and

Soaking up sun

to chase the shadows, and

Embracing the night

to frame the day—

Again and

Again and

Again.

It's a hustle towards heaven

Where I'll claim what is already

Mine--

A sound mind

that I'll no longer have to fight for;

An inheritance of stability,

Of uninterrupted peace--

Purchased by Jesus,

Promised by Jesus,

Mine

In him.

He is

Mine.
